Benjies Lake Trail & Bog Trail, are located on the Cabot Trail, inside the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, between Chéticamp and Pleasant Bay.
Birders visiting Cape Breton are interested in seeing Bicknell's Thrush, a rare nesting bird here. Benjies Lake Trail & Bog Trail have Bicknell's Thrush nesting in the area. The last report I heard, efforts to band Bicknell's Thrush produced only 10 birds. This was a first hand report from the bander.
